Cinematic decay by bubus666 Cinematic decay by bubus666
The Cinemascope aspect ratio is 2.39:1 , which is much wider than usual screens (16:9 , and, as a matter of fact, the ratio of this picture, with the frame).

(It forced me to crop a huge portion of the image, but I wanted to give it a try, let me know what you think)

This perspective is really cool~ It gives off a really surreal vibe for some reason. Like we're anticipating for something to happen. :la: Very nicely done :aww:

I had to look it up, as I didn't know what it was, I suppose it is mainly useful for 3D renders? (it reminds me a bit of the "little planet" panoramic trick, in a way)

Yes, it's used for 3d renders. Currently, only paul debevec really is the only one who makes good ones.

What an awesome place!!! So many ideas I'm getting on what can be done to this building! HDR done right for once, it's not over-done.. Love it!

Fantastic picture! I actually like the cropping, not sure what it looks like before the cropping, but I like it how it is!!! Great work :)

thanks a lot, what has been cut is mostly the roof, and some of the floor, but nothing really crucial. I was surprised, however by how much I had to cut to obtained the desired ratio, I thought, at first that it would be a lot less :)

I really love, and I mean LOVE widescreen. Bro. My monitors are a stretchy 16:10 but not as wide as this! I've gotta upgrade :P

I remember that Philips did a television on widescreen format, but for a desktop, two screens should be enough (only got a 16:10 myself, maybe one day =))

Gotta admit this looks pretty sick, I may use this as a reference for drawing backgrounds in one of my later pieces if you don't mind. :) I'd be sure to list you properly.

Yeah, sure, it's a great little camera, the lens is doing most of the job here, though. But you really can do about anything with it, as long as it's not too dark (and even then a tripod comes in handy)
